No, the Outdoor Adventures Program is self-supporting. We keep the costs low to help students enjoy the outdoors, so they are a great value!

How Do I Sign Up?

All Outdoor Adventures egistrations are handled at the AS Campus Recreation Office located across from Campus Village in Building BB on the second floor. Regular business hours are 9:00 to 5:00 Mon-Fri. Online registrations are not currently accepted for Outdoor Adventures activities.

What do I need to bring?

Once you sign up you will be given a trip information & logistics sheet that includes all necessary items you need to bring, an itinerary for your trip and the information for the mandatory pre-trip meeting.

What Is the Pre-Trip Meeting?
A :
This is a chance for all of the trip participants to get together for last minute information and questions. It is also a chance for the trip leaders to get to know those on the trip. Among the items we need to know are dietary preferences, any medical conditions that may exist, and any trip specifics that you would like to have on the trip.

Are the trip leaders qualified?
A :
Yes! Our trip leaders have training in both wilderness ethics and wilderness first aid. They will make your trip a memorable experience, we promise!

Do you make any special accommodations for people with disabilities?

Yes, students needing special accommodations are asked to contact our office at 408-924-6217 well in advance of the activity date, and prior to registration.
