Our goal is to provide classes that are enjoyable learning experiences and provide life-long skills. Our instructors are highly trained and ensure each participant top quality instruction in a safe environment.

  Group Exercise
Enjoy working out within a group setting.  Our classes combine an awesome cardio or strength training workout in a FUN environment!  We offer a wide variety of non-credit fitness classes such as kickboxing, indoor cycling, zumba, water fitness, and sculpting. These fitness classes offer the opportunity to increase fitness levels, reduce stress, and most importantly, just have fun.
 
Guidelines
Get connected to fun and fitness in three easy steps!

STEP1: Get Your Pass!
In order to attend group fitness and water aerobic classes, you need to purchase a pass. You can register and pay for your pass in three ways :

1. On-Campus : Please visit the Campus Recreation office at the BB Building next to Campus Village. We can now register you at our office!
2. On-Campus : Register at the Sport Club Fitness Center. We now take Cash, Credit, and Check anytime the Sport Club Fitness Center is open! If you are registering for the first time before you come take our classes, please allow 20 minutes before classes begin.

3. On-Line : Registration begins Monday, August 10, 2009

STEP 2: Sign-In!
To enter and participate in Group Exercise Classes, please sign in with the Fitness Attendant and show your current pass (for each class) at the ASCR Fitness Attendant Desk prior to entering group exercise classes. The desk is located on the main floor, in front of the Aerobics Room in the Sport Club.

To enter and participate in Water Aerobic Classes, please check in with the Instructor and show your current pass.

STEP 3: Have fun and enjoy yourself!

Fall 09 Fitness Program Updates

Fit Tag Procedure

  • Check in at the Front Desk of the Sport Club prior to the start of all group fitness classes. Please show a valid ID.
  • The Sport Club staff member will give you a FIT TAG to take with you to class.

  • Prior to the start of classes, the Fitness Instructor will collect the FIT TAG from you. 

  • This FIT TAG allows you to participate in class.


  • Please Note :

  • You may only sign into class 15 minutes pror to the class start time.
  • You must obtain a FIT TAG in order to enter group fitness classes. Each room has its own FIT TAG color.

  • If you decide to switch classes in the first 15 minutes, you will need to obtain a new FIT TAG from the Fitness Attendant Desk.

  • No FIT TAG will be handed out 15 minutes after classes have started.  This is to prevent injury.

  • FIT TAGS are valid only for the class you have signed in for.

  • Some classes have limited capacity due to equipment availability and/or room capacity.
