The Board currently manages the following departments and services: Print Shop, Campus Recreation, Government Office, General Services Center Office, Child Development Center, Computer Services Center, Cesar Chavez Community Action Center, Events and Marketing and Transportation Solutions. Besides these programs, we also fund student organizations, University events and activities. As members of the Board of Directors, SJSU students have the opportunity to obtain valuable experience in running a business and serve as student advocates representing the issues and concerns of the student community. The role of the employees of Associated Students is to provide professional support to the Board of Directors by implementing their services and program objectives. Currently, Associated Students is at a point where we can make a big impact by assisting the University in coping with the challenges of an ever-changing community. These new students have needs that a traditional University would not be able to provide alone. It is the responsibility of our auxiliary to fill the void with quality services and programs. |
