Diagnostics
Print and Technology Center offers free software diagnostics over the counter, and advanced diagnostics on check-in for a $15 non-refundable deposit. This deposit goes towards what ever repair solution you choose.

Operating Systems and Upgrades
Print and Technology Center provides operating system installation services. We can install:

  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8.1
  • Windows 10
  • MacOS

Data Backup
Your data is important and computers/phones can often be unreliable, especially when you need them the most! In these cases, we provide data backup for a variety of hard drive issues. We can extract data from most corrupt hard drives and back up your critical data onto your choice of USB storage such as external hard drive or a flash drive.

Virus Removal
Harmful software may find its way onto your computer, even with the proper antivirus. These files include viruses, adware, and spyware. These files can harm your computer, give you popup ads, track your internet and computer usage. Print and Technology center is here to help. We can remove those harmful programs and help drastically lower the chance of them returning. Students receive a free copy of Sophos antivirus, at no cost, to help protect you in the future.

Software/Updates Install
Print and Technology Center can help you with your software installation needs. We can install software ranging from internet browsers, text editors, antivirus, and many more. We can also update currently installed software and drivers for you. Please reach out to us for more information!

Standard Hardware Install/Upgrade
Print and Technology Center can diagnose and troubleshoot individual common hardware issues/upgrades such as Hard Drive, Memory/Ram and Power Supplys.

Print and Technology Center can help you with more advanced hardware issues/upgrades such as Motherboards, Laptop Screens, CPUs, and internal laptop part replacements.

New Computer Setup
Did you purchase a new device and require additional setup? We can help make your new device plug and play, so you never have to worry about setting it all up on your own. We cover windows updates, software installations, driver updates and we can help with email account setups.

Mobile Device Repair
Print and Technology Center offers repair services for:

Customer must provide replacement parts

Notice: Your phone will not be water proof/resistant after installation of a replacement screen

DISCLAIMER

  • Client allows the A.S. Print & Technology Center (PTC) to perform a diagnostic and/or equipment repair which includes formatting (erasing all data) of any storage device.

  • Client allows the PTC to verify the integrity of client’s data.

  • Client indemnifies, defends and holds harmless Associated Students—SJSU, the Trustees of the California State University and the state of California, their officers, agents or employees from any and all liability, claim, loss or obligations on account of or arising out of injury, death or damage connected with these services.

  • If client changes configuration of hardware, software or performs any type of repair, Associated Students will not be held responsible.

  • The center is not responsible for any data loss or damage during process of repair.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to back up all files and data.

  • The center reserves the right to recycle the client’s device if s/he fails to pick up within six months from the repair completion date.
