Amtrak Capitol Corridor is an intercity train service operating between Auburn, Sacramento, Oakland and San Jose Diridon Station. Trains also stop in Fremont, Hayward, Emeryville, Berkeley, Richmond, Martinez, Suisun/Fairfield, Davis, Roseville and Rocklin.

On weekdays, Amtrak offers 16 roundtrip trains between Oakland and Sacramento, with 7 roundtrips extending to San Jose from Oakland and 1 roundtrip to Auburn from Sacramento.

  Fare types:


Amtrak offers one-way, round-trip, and multi-ride tickets. 

Students with Student Advantage Card or International Student Identification Card (Sign up at AS General Services Center) receive a 15% discount on single and round trip tickets. AAA and National Association of Railroad Passengers members receive a 10% discount on single and round trip tickets.

The discounts listed above are generally not vaild in conjunction with any other discounts and promotions. Advanced reservation requirements and other restrictions may apply. Visit Amtrak's web site or an Amtrak ticket agent for details.

If available, purchase Amtrak tickets at stations before boarding trains. Student ID card or government issued photo identification is required to purchase tickets.

  Parking:

Stations at Suisun/Fairfield, Martinez, Richmond, Hayward, and Fremont offer free parking. Other stations offer paid parking.

Access to SJSU:

From San Jose Diridon Station, take DASH ( Downtown Area Shuttle ) to the west edge of campus on 4th Street, or take eastbound VTA buses 63 or 64 to the northern edge of campus along San Fernando Street.
 
  From SJSU
Access to SJSU: From SJSU, take DASH ( Downtown Area Shuttle ) on 4th Street by San Fernando Street or Paseo de San Antonio, or take westbound VTA buses 63 or 64 from stops on San Fernando Street by 5th or 7th streets.
