Do I have to carpool every day? No. You can carpool anywhere from one day a week to every day - as often as your schedule permits.
 
Do you have to have the same carpool partner for every trip? No. You can have a different carpool partner for each way and for each day of the week.
 
What if I don't have a car? No problem. You can join a carpool that doesn't need a driver and pay your share of the gas and parking expenses. When you use the TS Ridematching Service you can specify your preference to join a carpool as a passenger only.
 
Who does the driving? In most carpools, each person takes turns driving his/her own car. Some carpools have one person who drives every day. This is a logistic you and your fellow passengers will want to address right away.
 
What if I have to work late or have an emergency? On the days you drive, you'll have your car to get home, but be sure to let fellow passengers know about your situation as soon as possible, so they can make alternate arrangements. Can I receive a match list for non-SJSU commuters? Yes! The Ridematching program allows you to select a match list that includes non-SJSU commuters. Just select "All regional matches" in the "Match Preference" section at the Registration page.
 
Why register with TS instead of 511.org directly? When registering with TS you get an exclusive list of SJSU commuters, along with additional customer support from TS staff. Also, TS staff can help you find a carpool partner by recruiting other SJSU students in your area to join the carpool program.
