Enjoy a direct ride to SJSU on a large passenger van from Modesto, Manteca, Tracy, Livermore, Pleasanton, Scotts Valley and Hollister. Vanpools provide a quick and affordable transportation for SJSU employees and students.
SJSU Vanpools is a membership based service primarily designed to serve daily commuters from those regions. Vanpools generally pick up passengers at carpool park and ride lots.

Fare policy
Vanpool fares will be calculated based on the total number of trips and will be billed to the riders at the end of each month. Riders must pay the fare, as billed by the driver, during the first week of each month. Late or delinquent payments and or returned checks may result in suspension or cancellation of riding privileges.
* For riders whose monthly trips total is valued less than the listed minimum fare, the minimum fare will be charged for the month. Riders may not combine each others trips to avoid paying the minimum fare.
Fares are determined by the University and are subject to changes without notice.
Pay the fare at the TS Center located on the main floor of the Student Union.
Rules for SJSU Vanpool riders
The rules also appear in the Vanpool Rider Subscription Agreement
Cooperate with the vanpool to define the pickup locations, waiting policies and other guidelines for creating an efficient and compatible vanpool.
Be on time at the specified pickup location.

Give advance notice to the driver when unable to ride or taking vacation or other days off.
Notify the driver at least 30 days before permanently vacating a seat on the van.
Always wear a seatbelt while in the van.
Refrain from smoking or drinking alcohol in the van.
Comply with all requests of the driver while in the van.
