Take a northbound Caltrain to Millbrae (40 minutes on Baby Bullet trains and 1 hour and 5 minutes on local trains).
At the Millbrae station, purchase a BART ticket of $4.00 value, enter the BART paid area, and board any train to San Bruno. At San Bruno station, walk over to the opposite platform for a train to SFO. (total 10 minutes) On nights and weekends, take any train to SFO station directly.
From the SFO BART station, walk or take AirTrain ( SFO's internal train system ) to all terminals. The BART station is located adjacent to the international terminal.

From all terminals, walk or take AirTrain (SFO's internal train system) to the SFO BART station. The BART station is located adjacent to the international terminal.
At the BART station, purchase a BART ticket of $1.50 value and enter the BART paid area. Take any train to San Bruno. At San Bruno station, walk to the opposite platform for a train to Millbrae. (10 minutes) On nights and weekends, take a train that goes directly to Millbrae.
At Millbrae, purchase a Caltrain ticket and board a southbound Caltrain to San Jose. (1 hour and 5 minutes on local trains)
At San Jose Diridon station, take DASH ( Downtown Area Shuttle ) to the west edge of campus on 4th Street by Paseo de San Antonio, or take eastbound VTA buses 63 or 64 to the northern edge of campus along San Fernando Street. (10 minutes)

Note:
All Caltrain trains have one car equipped with a luggage rack. The car equipped with the rack can be identified by a green suitcase decal located by the car door. The luggage car is generally located in the middle of the train.
Caltrain & SamTrans bus
For savvy riders, taking Caltrain and SamTrans can provide a cheaper, faster, and more convenient trip to SFO. SamTrans serves all airport terminals directly.
From all terminals, follow the sign "SamTrans" to a bus stop. At the bus stop, board SamTrans express bus KX toward Palo Alto. Disembark the bus on El Camino Real by Hillsdale Blvd. (20 minutes)

At San Jose Airport, airporters pick up passengers at Terminal C near the baggage claim area. At SFO, airporters depart from the center island transportation zones on the lower level of the international and domestic terminals.
