SJSU Legacy Tour leaders take groups of K-12 students on a tour of San Josè State University. On the tour, SJSU Student Guides emphasize the legacies, history, events and people who are part of the social justice story of SJSU. Guides teach about the Tommie Smith John Carlos Statues, Yoshihiro Uchida Hall, César Chávez Arch of Dignity and other distinguished areas of the campus. Tour Guides hope to encourage students to strive for higher education. This tour is also available to SJSU students, faculty, staff, and community members. To become a Legacy Tour Guide, SJSU students must commit to 5 hours per semester. |
