Women's Volleyball at San Jose State University has developed quite a popular following over the recent years. The team's skilled play along with the atmosphere of the recently re-designed SPX gym, which the team calls home, has made volleyball games an electrifying experience.

Spartan Squad members know all about being UP-CLOSE and personal with the action and excitement of the game. We are the only ones allowed to sit COURTSIDE in a special seating section painted GOLD to match our Spartan Squad gold t-shirts!

Seating is very limited in this special section, so an early arrival is a MUST! One new tradition started by Squadders last year is standing the whole game ON the benches, never ceasing to cheer on the Spartans, or taunt opposing players. This is in addition to other cheers and yells throw around by rabid Spartan Squad members.

Chants are performed just about EVERYTIME the other team had position helped to swing the games motion in our favor on more than one occasion.

Spartan Squad members look to continue the PRIDE and JOY of getting behind our Lady Spartans as we hope to travel to more road games, thus bringing the environment of home to the away scene and ultimately helping our Women's Volleyball team win even more matches!
