Spartan Squad is the official student athletic booster program of San José State University supporting SJSU athletics. Founded in the Fall of 2005 by Matthew Olivieri and Brad Villeggiante, with support from Associated Students, the Squad increases SJSU pride, unity and spirit throughout the student body.
Current undergraduate and graduate students of San José State University can join Spartan Squad. Being a part of Spartan Squad is all about having PRIDE for being a student at San José State Univeristy. By choosing to become a member and wearing your Squad shirt at sporting games and other events, you are identifying yourself as someone who cares enough to uphold Honor and Tradition while being a student at the CSU's oldest University.
The 2012 Spartan Road Trip begins Wednesday, May 23 and stops at the Newport Beach Elks Lodge. Mike MacIntyre, John Poch, Jim Ferryman ('70) and Jim McGuy ('57) are the hosts.
San Jose State grabbed a win Tuesday over UC Davis in a continuation game and nearly came back to win a makeup game, as the Spartans split with the Aggies, winning 4-3 in 12 innings and falling 12-9.
San Jose State men's golf will tee it up in the NCAA Regional Tournament hosted at the Stanford Golf Course starting May 17. The top five teams advance to the NCAA Championship at Riviera Country Club
Austin Byler's three-run homerun in the fourth inning was all Nevada needed as the Wolf Pack completed a three-game sweep of San Jose State with a 4-2 win at Peccole Park.
Jennifer Brumbaugh led the Spartans in the final round, and Madeleine Ziegert finished her Spartan career on Saturday.
