John Steinbeck Society of America & Steinbeck Review Subscriptions
Members of the John Steinbeck Society of America receive Steinbeck Review, a peer-reviewed bi-annual journal that explores the life and works of John Steinbeck. Richly illustrated, this journal contains scholarly articles, essays, notes, book and performance reviews, and contemporary references about the writer. Each issue is approximately 140 pages and circulates to hundreds of members in the U.S. and abroad. It is published each June and December.
This picture of Steinbeck was taken in the 1940s by Philippe Halsman. It was adapted in 1979 for a U.S. Postage stamp.
